Cricket

 

2020 Community Sport provide a wide range of cricket sessions for all abilities from the beginner to the elite. These include all players throughout any junior age group to senior players both male and female. Due to our diverse cohort of players coached we offer cricket throughout the whole year in several clubs, schools and indoor facilities within Lincolnshire.

One to One - Private Tution

 

We offer specialist technical sessions either on a 1-2-1 basis or in small groups focusing upon any aspect in cricket may that be fielding, batting or bowling. These sessions are highly dependent upon the individual for development in any area of their game.

School Coaching
 
Our coaches go into primary and secondary schools and other educational establishments providing cricket sessions either during curriculum time or extra-curriculur.
 
  • Chance to Shine
 
The chance to shine programme is a nationally funded iniative managed through the local cricket boards aimed at reversing the decline of cricket in state schools. An objective of the scheme is based upon the ethos of improving childrens life skills within the themes of play, learn and enjoy through the power of cricket. Our specialist trained coaches already go into a number of schools to deliver these sessions particularly with a current focus towards promoting girls cricket in the area.

  • Lunch / After School Clubs (Extra-Curriculur)
 
These sessions give students an opportunity to further their cricketing experiences whether just wanting to participate in more cricket or to develop their exisiting skills. 

 

 

  • Festivals / Tournaments

 

In conjunction with the School Sports Partnership (SSP) we operate both cricket festivals, involving a variety of cricket based skills and games and tournaments with many local schools participating.

 

  • Gifted and Talented programme

 

Our coaches have been invited by the SSP to provide the cricket element of the local Gifted and Talented programme. 

Club Coaching / Team

 

2020 Community Sport is currently affiliated with several local clubs in the area where we provide different levels of coaching services through the U11, U13 and U15 age groups along wth senior or  womens cricket sessions.

Street Cricket

 

We currently deliver Chance to Shine Street. This is a national initiative that aims to bring cricket to young people in urban areas. It uses the game to increase aspiration, promote social cohesion and create opportunities in diverse communities as well as improving the overall health and wellbeing for participants in a fun environment.
